Regional Partnerships
Regional Partnerships
Walworth County Economic Development Alliance (WCEDA) has formed many partnerships around the region. These partnerships tie Walworth County to Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois in a way that emphasizes a regional approach to economic issues. Our partnerships are divided into two distinct categories.
Local Partnerships
Local partnerships are becoming increasingly important in today's economy as most every organization's resources are shrinking and those that wish to survive need to adapt. In Walworth County, WCEDA has garnered partnerships with:
- Gateway Technical College*
- George Williams College
- Lakeland Builders Association
- Lakes Area Realtors Association
- University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
- University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Small Business Development Center*
- Walworth County Visitors Bureau
Regional Partnerships
Like all other counties in the region, a strong Walworth County depends upon a strong Southeastern Wisconsin. We are no longer competing with adjacent village, cities, counties or even states for employers, but we have entered an era where we need to compete on a global level to attract and retain top employers in our communities. As a result many regional partnerships are emerging all around the country to pool resources in an effort to attract the attention of major employers. WCEDA is proud to be partner with:
- Milwaukee 7 (Walworth County Partner)
- Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC) (Walworth County Partner)
- University of Wisconsin-Parkside Small Business Development Center*
- Wisconsin Entrepreneurs Network (WEN)
- Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC)*
- Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Program (WMEP)
Membership
WCEDA is a proud member of:
- Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance
- Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC)
- International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC)
